I think Bob Weir tours because playing is his life. He practically grew up on stage, and this is just what he does. imho

hmmm ... I'm sure he did, but I was referencing a 21st century interview (can't seem to find it) where the dumbass interviewer asked him if he was "trying to prove something" or trying to "set a record" with his never-ending tour, and Bob's answer was something to the effect of "this is my job, this is what I do, I play music for people"
